I Would For You

If It would help
To give the world back
What it gave
Then I would
I would
I would
I would
I would for you

As Aparências Desiludem

... Give Me

Sun lights up the day time
moon lights up the night
I light up when you call my name
and you know i'm gonna treat you right

you give me fever
when you kiss me
fever when you hold me tight
Fever In the morning
Fever all through the night

Disappearence

What interests me is how to describe the little movements, certain happenings in the everyday life -- the unacknowledged historical processes.

Clean

Clean
The cleanest I've been
An end to the tears
And the in-between years
And the troubles I've seen

Now that I'm clean
You know what I mean
I've broken my fall
Put an end to it all
I've changed my routine
Now I'm clean

Some say the end is near.
Some say we'll see armageddon soon.
I certainly hope we will.

The Rules Of Attraction

why do i know that i would instantly fall for the girl sitting in the table opposite to the one i am sitting in. what is it? is it the colour of her skin? the outline of her face? or is it her bright dark eyes. is it how i imagine she is like? i have always wondered how exactly the rules of attraction work, and why?… i think it is the way she smiles. yes. that’s definitely it. the way she smiles. it’s entirely beautiful.

Proximity Without Reciprocity

Shared Space

Wong (Kar Wai) achieves this through a renewed emphasis on the potential of shared space within the city, suggesting that while "proximity without reciprocity" is often the affective result of urban space, a re-thinking of shared space as a form of proximity that allows the gradual blossoming of reciprocity can offer new forms of urban relations (Abbas, 1997a: 54. See Appendix One). The film also presents a re-reading of desire that accompanies and lends itself best to the potential of shared space in an urban context of physical closeness but emotional distance. By imagining the lack in the Other, from which desire springs, as physical, tangible absence and substituting shared space for this absence, the film provides a means of coping with lack through the fetishisation of space.

She used to just stand there and stare

Yes I know who you remind me of
A girl I think I used to know
Yes I'd see her when the day got colder
On those days when it felt like snow

You know I even think that she stared like you
She used to just stand there and stare
And roll her eyes right up to heaven
And make like I just wasn't there

And she used to fall down a lot
That girl was always falling
Again and again
And I used to sometimes try to catch her
But I never even caught her name
